In The Dog’s Dinner – Revisited -

Long-time dog lover and groomer's wife Ann Ridyard tells the passionate, generous, and comforting story of her journey into raw feeding for dogs.

The book is a godsend for all who are confused by conflicting feeding advice, or who are about to start on their own raw feeding journey.

Ann’s story is one of trial and error, and she describes the many misunderstandings and pitfalls that can be encountered along the way.

Questions like: what to feed, how much to feed, how to achieve a balance, how to start puppies and adults off on the diet, are all answered, and all the concerns you might have are addressed. Ann discusses the fact that different people hold differing views on raw feeding and shares her conclusions based on experience.

The Dog’s Dinner is by someone who has been there, done that, and written a book about it. What shines through, however, is Ann’s deep love for the dogs, and her commitment to helping our friends live long and healthy lives. Highly recommended

I thought I would send you an email to give you my review

on the The Dog's Dinner - Revisited. Well I can start by saying that I really enjoyed the book and it was full of relevant information and good advice. I like it when people are straight to the point and this is exactly what this book does, points you to the healthiest diet for your dog.

I own have a Labrador who is 6 years old and has always been a commercially fed dog, after reading this book I immediately changed to Raw Feeding and have never looked back. After an initial 24 hours of a fussy dog, he then took his first mouthful and has licked his lips ever since. His coat is gleaming, sweeter breath, produces a lot less waste and generally seems a lot happier. I wish I had found you and this wonderful book sooner, but better late than never.

The book is fantastic, every dog owner should have this book and if people really cared about their dogs they would listen to the advice in your book. I have told so many people about Raw Feeding and I always say "dogs are like wolves, feed him like one". I will never go back to commercial feeding ever again. Thanks for changing my dogs life for the better.

This book is a straightforward and informative guide

to raw feeding; it will tell you ALL you need to know to give your dogs the very best diet in the world ...the diet they're MEANT to eat.

The author has years of experience with raw feeding, and for an ordinary pet owner like me her book has become a raw feeding bible. Reading this book has given me the confidence to feed my dogs the diet they were meant to eat ... and they are flourishing on it. I will never, ever return to commercial cooked food for them .... reading Ann's book will tell you why.

So do yourself, and more importantly, your dogs a favour and buy this book ... the passion and knowledge with which it has been written will enable you to feed your dogs the way that they, as carnivores are meant to be fed ... and they will be happier and healthier for it.

'The Dogs Dinner Revisited”

Is an excellent book for anyone who wishes to feed their dog an appropriate diet.

Ann’s 1st book “The Dogs Dinner” was my bible, but when she revisited it, I had to have a copy.

“The Dog’s Dinner Revisited” is so clear and concise.

It details Ann’s own path through the maze of raw feeding and the problems she encountered before she switched to raw.

It tells you why you should raw feed, details how to switch your dog to raw and even gives a suggested diet plan.

If you really care for your dog buy this book.

My dog is a wolf; he happens to be a GSD so looks more like a wolf than most, bottom line all dogs are wolves ( even Chihuahuas).

Ziggy is now 3 years old and has been raw fed all his life.

I loved this book,

I have lent it to all my friends and took it into my local training class, it turns out my instructor also feeds a raw diet to her dogs and already has this book and the original Dog's Dinner wich was written 6 years ago converted her, what a small world!

I would urge anybody who is worried about swapping their dogs over to read this book and then you won't be worried anymore.

I had been interested in raw feeding for a while,

I own two dogs, Molly aged 6 and Herby aged 8, both Labradors and both constantly in need of vet treatment for one mInor reason or another (minor illnesses, but huge vet bills)

I had read so much on the internet about the difference feeding a raw diet could make, but didn't know where to start.

This book made it all so easy, with the added resources and information on this site backing it all up, I decided to give it a go.That was 9 months ago and I am pleased to say we haven't had to go back to the vet once, with either dog and they look so much better.

I was very sceptical about this diet, but now I am a believer, I tell all my friends and have lent them this book and 2 of them are now trying this method for themselves, my friend Jane has a GSD who has constant digestion issues and was really skinny, 4 weeks on this diet and she looks marvellous and Jane can actually pick up her poos, using the poo bags - before it was like picking up custard!

All I can say is this book has saved me £s already and Jane couldn't be happier either, every dog owner should read this book and follow the diet, it cost me a little more in food for them, but could save me thousands long term, so thank you Ann Ridyard, for opening my eyes, it's all just common sense really.

Just a short note,

To say how much I enjoyed your book, I read the whole thing in a day, much to my other half's annoyance as HE got no dinner that day! As soon as I was halfway through, I knew I wanted to feed my own dogs like this.

My husband was not so easliy convinced, which upset me and there was conflict, I kept quoting bits from your book at him and he kept disagreeing, in the end I threw the book at him and demanded he read it for himself, I do not normally go against my husband, but the health or rather ill health of our dogs had concerned me for a while, so I was determined for us to give them this chance.

After reading the book for himself (finally after weeks of me nagging) he had to conceed that it was worth a try and all the things he had been worried about were so nicely explained in the book, he could no longer argue.

This was 12 months ago.

I am delighted to say that Spanner & Sprocket, our Cocker Spaniels are so much healthier and happier. Spanner used to be very hyper and suffered terribly with anal gland problems, and Sprocket had very bad skin and ears. Not anymore though and it gives my great pleasure to remind my husband of this!

This really shows the ability this little book has to educate, as my husband is not the easiest of people to convince if he thinks he knows better!

What a great little book!

I think I must have about 5 other natural/raw feeding books, I have always been interested, but have been put off as it seemed so complicated and expensive.

This book was written by a fellow pet owner and it shows and shines throughout the book, such a refreshing change for me I finally took the plunge, been feeding raw for 5 months now and it is so simple, thanks to this book and this site.

I have just finished reading this book -

And was asked if I would review it. I am a raw feeder myself and am very happy with my diet. I am also a dog trainer and often get asked about the raw diet by my clients. In the past I have struggled to recommend one book, but not anymore.

The Dog's Dinner is not claiming to be anything it isn't. For owners new to raw feeding I can highly praise this book for its' honest simplicity. It is very readable with the author showing humility for mistakes she has made with the way she has previously fed her own dogs.

I believe that this book will convert and teach whilst reminding us of a few things we already know. It is straightforward and includes some personal experiences for the author which I enjoyed reading about.

It was particularly refreshing to discover a book which is illustrated with colour pictures and is not something you see very often in books of this sort.

I think this book will go a long way in removing the fear surrounding the raw diet and the way it should be fed.
